F5 Networks announced that "M1 Limited has deployed the F5® Traffix™ Signaling Delivery Controller™ (SDC™) Diameter solution to optimize mobility management in its LTE home network and provide high quality LTE roaming services".Patrick Scodeller [pictured], COO, M1 said: “.. we selected the F5 Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller as a Diameter Edge Agent (DEA) to enable simple and seamless integration between our network and IPX carriers, and as a Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) for consistent network reliability and tight control”.
At the end of Q2, 2013, M1 had 1.1M postpaid and 985K prepaid subscribers which is ~25% market share.
