Vimpelcom operates in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam and Cambodia (and was recently combined with Wind Telecom - here) and has 92M mobile subscribers (September 30, 2010) operators.Victor Markelov (picture), Products Director at Vimpelcom, said: “Vantrix’s solution features the unique Dynamic Bit Rate Adaptation, which allows real time adaptation to network conditions and guarantees the best user experience of video services. Just a small comment - Vantrix has published Vimpelcom have chosen them for Mobile TV and VoD service and NOT Video Optimization (as the title suggests). The video optimization capability was awarded to a different vendor.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the release, the customer is using Vantrix' "Dynamic Bit Rate Adaptation, which allows real time adaptation to network conditions and guarantees the best user experience of video services".
ReplyDeleteIt is possible that other aspects of Optimization (for example, methods that target bandwidth saving) are performed by other solutions.
