Vodafone published its Sep 30 results (see "Half-year financial report for the six months ended 30 September 2011" - here) stating that "Data revenue +23.8%(organic growth), with smartphone penetration in Europe rising to 21.7% in Q2; 24% of consumer contract customers in Europe are on integrated voice, SMS and data tariffs".
The presentation shows (see below and here) that in Q2 FY2011, for the first time, growth of data revenues (21%) was higher than growth in data traffic (19%). Vodafone also says that "Web/Video traffic optimisation in 9 markets; 15-30% volume cuts" and "20-30% reduction in peer to peer traffic in key markets".
Looks like the combination of traffic management and optimization is a winner - see previous report - "Vodafone: "Traffic management limiting data volume growth to +31%" - here.
