Bivio: Focusing on DPI Application Platform

 
Bivio Networks announced after completing the sale of its NetFalcon and NCCS product and business assets to ISC8 [here], it will focus on its DPI Application Platform.
  
Dr. Elan Amir (pictured), president and CEO of Bivio Networks said: "Now that this transaction is complete, Bivio can continue to focus on delivering the DPI Application Platform to our government and commercial customers looking to deploy world-class cyber security solutions".
 
Leila Bristow was appointed as Bivio's VP of Worldwide Sales. Bristow has served as Bivio's Director of U.S. Federal Accounts since February 2011 (here).

Bivio 7000 Series DPI Application Platforms are fully programmable systems that allow any Linux-based networking application to run on the appliance with little or no porting effort

DPI Market: Bivio Acquired by ISC8


ISC8 announced it has ".. entered into an agreement to acquire certain cybersecurity related assets of Bivio Networks .. The acquisition provides ISC8 with advanced products and technologies for Security Intelligence, Incident Response, Content Control [hereand mitigation of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) in enterprise, service provider and government networks".

".. Under the terms of the agreement, ISC8 will pay up to $10.5 million in a combination of cash and stock, detailed more fully below. For the twelve months ended July 31, 2012, the acquired business units of Bivio Networks generated $2.2 million in sales. In addition, ISC8 will acquire an installed base consisting of nine accounts including leading Tier 1 service providers, enterprises and government agencies worldwide"
