Heavy Reading "LTE will enable pushing cache into the base stations"

Following my recent posts on caching (see "PeerApp: “Caching is the future of Optimization”- here)  I thought the following interview with Heavy Reading Senior Analyst Adi Kishore, will be interesting as it provides a good review of how caching is used today by mobile operators.

Adi explains that while today MNOs are mainly use it to save on international peering costs, the transition to LTE will enable to MNOs to push cache deeper into the network and finally place it in the base stations, reliving load on the backhaul links as well (vendors are already there - for example - Saguna).

See "Mobile Content Caching Strategies" - here.
