Procera Expects (at least) $77.5M in Revenues for 2013


Procera Networks announced its Q1 2013 results (revenues - $14.2M, booking $18.6M - here).

The company is "revising its guidance for annual revenue growth from between 25% to 30% to at least 30% for 2013. The Company expects to gain market share in 2013 and continues to anticipate that most of its revenue growth will occur in the second half of 2013". 

2012 revenues were $59.6, so the new guidance is for revenues of $77.5M for 2013. It seems that Procera believes that the market will grow by less than 30%, as it expects to gain market share with 30% growth. Shares of Procera were up by 20% in after hours trading.

These high booking numbers were further detailed with two announcements:
  • "a multi-million dollar follow-on order from a Top Ten North American MSO This order includes multiple PacketLogic™ PL8000 series systems to expand the existing deployment for network intelligence purposes. The operator is deploying these systems initially for a Big Data project, using Procera as the key provider of contextual network intelligence to deliver higher quality data input to its big data systems for improved results".

  • "a multi-million dollar follow-on order from a Tier 1 European network operator. This order includes multiple PacketLogic™ PL20000 systems to expand the existing deployment and provide more capacity and functionality for the operator, delivering on Procera’s commitment to Intelligence Everywhere in the network. The network operator chose the PL20000 due to the superior capacity that is offered by the platform compared to competitive solutions, and is continuing its investment as its network grows".
