Almost a year ago I mentioned that the Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation was looking for DPI (see "Ethio Telecom Issued a Tender for DPI" - here). According to Tor, they found one, and use it for censorship."The Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation, which happens to be the sole telecommunication service provider in Ethiopia, has deployed or begun testing Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) of all Internet traffic".
