[Analysys Mason]: Telecom Software Market Grew by 6.4% in 2011; Amdocs Leads


A new report by Analysys Mason finds that "The value of the worldwide telecoms software market grew by 6.4% (or USD1.38 billion) between 2010 and 2011, from USD21.48 billion to USD22.86 billion. The overall market is highly fragmented: the top-six suppliers accounted for just 48.2% of the total market, and no supplier had a share of more than 11.0%".

Software segments included are service assurance, service fulfillment, revenue management, network management systems, service delivery platforms and customer care.

"Amdocs has retained its position as the largest vendor in terms of revenue, with an overall market share of 10.5%".
