"Integrating live and on-demand content as well as OTT communications options into an operator bundle effectively requires a savvy back-office strategy that leverages advertising, "concierge" services based on user preferences, DPI to examine what users are doing on the network in aggregate and revenue assurance to make sure all the parties involved are fairly compensated" - predicts Tara Seals, Executive Editor, for B/OSS (Billing and OSS world), in an article that is "focusing in on some core trends and a few resulting high concepts for the B/OSS industry going forward".

In addition - "Managing bandwidth consumption remains one of the greatest drivers for policy server deployments by both the fixed and wireless operators, and as data traffic continues to skyrocket, particularly over 3G networks, that will not change any time soon, according to Shira Levine, directing analyst for next gen OSS and policy at Infonetics. However, policy management — a fast-growing sector — is undergoing a sea change, moving into a realm where it can be used as a platform for service innovation".
