MYCOM OSI Launches Network Analytics Solution

MYCOM OSI announced the "launch of its ProInsight™ Network Analytics solution.With ProInsight™, MYCOM OSI delivers an innovative approach to telecom analytics by leveraging its established telecom-specific expertise in management of large-scale heterogeneous multi-vendor and multi-domain network data, and dynamically linking it to business and customer Big Data via a dynamic bridging technology. This approach transforms CSPs network planning and operations processes by seamlessly integrating business Big Data into network processes to deliver high value uses case such as value-based capacity planning, as well as provide a rapid return on investment for Big Data platforms investments".

According to a TM Forum report, sponsored by MYCOM OSI [here], entitled ‘Network analytics: Creating better customer experience and new revenues’ - "Big Data and network analytics hold the key to operators’ efforts to enhance the user experience, optimize capital investments and even drive share price movement"  (see chartr below)

MYCOM OSI announced that its "NIMS-PrOptima™ service and network performance management platform has been selected by BASE Company to manage the end-to-end performance of its network BASE Company is a major mobile operator in Belgium that focuses on offering the best voice quality and fastest 3G network to its subscribers. 

When it decided to standardize on a single network performance management solution as part of its Next Generation Performance Management (NGPM) project it required a solution that was independent of network equipment vendors, provided rapid time-to-market for network equipment changes and was easy-to-use with industry-leading functionality.

As the solution is provided as a managed service by Comarch, NIMS-PrOptima was chosen for its high performance and reliability to meet Comarch’s stringent service level agreements with BASE Company".

MYCOM OSI announced that the "NIMS-PrOptima™ Service and Network Performance Management platform has been selected by Telenor Sweden to manage the performance of its mobile and fixed networks.

Telenor Sweden’s strategy requires a new performance management solution to gather and use data from various network domains including RAN, CS Core, PS Core, VAS, IP and Probes. Telenor Sweden required the solution to be simple to use, enabling users to quickly analyze network performance with minimal time and effort spent on report development. Key requirements included system performance and scalability, comprehensively available off the shelf modules, an effective drag and drop GIS environment and support for supervision automation.

NIMS-PrOptima™ is a converged (Fixed/IP/Mobile) Service and Network Performance Management solution with out-of-the-box support for multiple technologies, domains and equipment vendors across access, backhaul, core and service networks. It processes large volumes of performance, configuration and services data in near real time, and has advanced correlation, analysis, reporting and visualization modules. It is also highly flexible via automation, workflow and configuration capabilities".
