[MarketsandMarkets] NI Market to Reach $1.8B by 2019

A new report by MarketsandMarkets finds that ".. the network analytics market to grow from $589.6 million in 2014 to $1,842.2 million by 2019, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 25.6%.

North America (NA) is expected to be the largest network analytics market in terms of revenues generated, but Asia-Pacific (APAC) is expected to emerge as a high-growth market."

Vendors covered are Accenture, IBM, Cisco, SAS, Tibco, Tableau Software, Calix, JDS Uniphase, Procera Netwroks and Sandvine.

[Update 62: Procera <-> Volubill, Amdocs, DigitalRoute, Openet, Oracle, Tibco] PCRF - DPI Compatibility Matrix

Gary Gibbs, Volubill and Fredrik Johansson (pictured), Procera Networks updated me that the two vendors "completed Gx IOT testing".

Gary was proud to say that "Volubill is the only vendor to have completed IOT with all your listed DPI vendors".

Fredrik said that in addition to Volubill, Procera is also compatible with Amdocs/Bridgewater, DigitalRoute, Openet, Oracle and Tibco.

The compatibility matrix (here) was updated to reflect the new information. 

[Update 51: Procera Integrates with Aptilo and Tibco; Joint Customer Tests with BroadHop ] PCRF - DPI Compatibility Matrix

Procera Networks announced "the availability of its 3GPP Interoperability Laboratory in Malmo, Sweden. The lab provides an environment for Procera’s Professional Services Team to aid its customers to rapidly test new personalized services using the 3GPP PCC Ecosystem, focusing on interaction between PCEF, PCRF and OCS systems".

The release presents two new PCC eco-system partners - Aptilo and Tibco (former Kabira product - here), as well as an existing one - BroadHop (here). My interoperability matrix (here) was updated to reflect the new relations.

Ian Campbell (pictured), CTO of BroadHop said: "BroadHop and Procera have successfully completed several joint customer IOTs of our flagship PacketLogic and Quantum Network Suite solutions"

[Update 36: Torres, Tibco/Kabira] PCRF - DPI Compatibility Matrix

Several updates made to the PCRF-DPI matrix:

• Torres Networks informed me that they are now interoperable with Arbor's eSeries (Ellacoya) product line
   
• The former Kabira products were rebranded as TIBCO Policy Orchestration™, presenting 4 key functions - Policy server, Profile manager, Usage server and Quota server. Tibco acquired Kabira a year ago. Tibco annual report says that:
  
  "On April 20, 2010, we acquired Kabira Technologies, Inc. (“Kabira”), a private company incorporated in Delaware and a provider of high performance transaction processing software solutions for communications service providers globally. Kabira’s products and solutions support key infrastructure capabilities such as subscriber provisioning, value-based charging, and mobile payments. Its in-memory approach to supporting transactions complements our abilities in handling events and adds to our broader suite of in-memory infrastructure software products. We paid $3.9 million of cash to acquire all of the outstanding equity of Kabira. We have also incurred $0.4 million of acquisition related and other expenses associated with the acquisition" (here).
