Allot Communications updated its "Optimizing, Monetizing & Personalizing Broadband Services - Use Cases" handbook (see previous edition here) with new use cases.
The new cases are focused on revenue opportunities, and are related to the Allot's recent product announcement ("Allot Enables Better Monetization with Granular Usage Analytics and Subscriber Profiling" - here):
- Subscriber Behavior Analysis
- Targeted Promotions and Advertising
- Collaboration and Revenue Generation
According to Allot "This handbook presents a selection of real network use cases that leverage the power and innovation of Allot’s technology and products". This should include the "politically sensitive" cases, which may raise concern over privacy issues (targeted advertising) or net neutrality (paid prioritization of content by its providers - see also "Tekelec Adds Secured "2 Sided Business Model" to DSR" - here).
